Learning dance often means experiencing some injuries. I don’t mean that this is inevitable, but it is often part of the learning process, especially for adults. Our bodies are usually easier to injure and slower to recover. Here is a piece of good news. When we move in unhealthy ways, we feel discomfort in our bodies much sooner than children. The problem is brought to our awareness right away. It’s best to stop moving in the ways that hurts and address the problem before you are sidelined.
