VCU Dorms for Workshops and Camps*honors2

I met with the VCU Conference and Scheduling Services to get a view of their dorms. I was pleasantly surprised by the appeal and location. I preferred the Honors College because it has more single rooms, wide hallways and a nice common space at the center of each floor. So it’s an affordable way to get a private room close to the studios. Dorm rooms will be booked through Sun King Dance and must be reserved in advance. We are working out the details and pricing for you now. VCU dorm rooms are available for the June workshop and the June camp.

Here is what we do know:

The dorms at 835 W. Grace St., near the Grace Street Theater. Proximity is an easy 4 city blocks to the VCU dance facility. Monroe Park is just south of the dorms.

Amenities include single rooms with private bathroom, twin bed, air-conditioning, mini microwave and refrigerator, linens, free wifi, laundry machines, 24/7 security and on-call assistance. There is a common area on each floor to mingle and gather. There is free on-street parking from 6 pm-9 am and metered, two hour street parking from 9 am-6 pm. Several restaurants are very nearby – Panera, Chipotle, Chili’s, and Edo’s Squid are among the them.
